It starts with you! The details you provide during the Intake Form help us find the best candidates for you. The more you share about your ideal candidate, the better your results will be.

  1. First Batch of Candidates

Our team will conduct an initial search based on what you submitted. The first batch of candidates will be ready within two business days. We will let you know if these candidates match your requirements. If they do, we will continue with the search. If not, we will adjust our search parameters until we find the candidates you seek.

  1. Candidate Search

Once we have your approved candidates from the first batch, HootRecruit combines recruitment expertise with the latest AI technology to work its magic. ✨

  1. Candidate Delivery

You'll get a list of potential candidates that meet your requirements. Candidate information includes:

    • names
    • contact information such as email, contact numbers, and LinkedIn profile links
    • work experience

This search can be revised as necessary within 30 days.

  1. Candidate Outreach

Lastly, you can contact these candidates easily through email campaigns. We're confident that you'll find your next teammate. 🎉

How do I ask for help?

There are three ways you can ask for help navigating the app:

  1. Contact Client Success: You can directly communicate with a Client Success representative by clicking on the message icon at the top of the screen next to your profile.

  2. Email Support: If you have any questions or need help with the product, you can email us at help@iqrecruit.com, and we will respond as quickly as possible.

  3. HootRecruit Help Center: Visit our Help Center on the website, where you'll find instructions and answers to common questions about navigating the app.

How do I report a bug?

If you find a bug in the platform, please ping us at help@iqrecruit.com!


When you need help with the HootRecruit platform, we can assist you more quickly if you provide the following information upfront:

  1. Please provide precise details of the issue—give a play-by-play of the process that leads to the error. For example, "When I click the x button and select option y, z happens."
  2. Which browser are you using (Chrome, Edge, etc.)?
  3. What troubleshooting methods have you tried?
  4. Please send screenshots of the issue.
  5. Please include links to relevant LinkedIn profiles, roles, etc.
How do I request a new feature?

A product depends on user feedback! We are always building, refining, and adding to the HootRecruit product. If there is a feature, change, or tweak you'd like to see, email us at help@iqrecruit.com.

  1. Please provide a link to the page if relevant. E.g., https://app.iqrecruit.com/billing
  2. What behaviors would you like to see added?
  3. Can you add some context? Why would this be helpful to you?
E.g., "I would like to see the x feature added to the y page because it would save me multiple clicks to complete action z."
What happens when a user gets deactivated?

When a user is deactivated, they lose certain abilities:

  • They can no longer log in
  • They are unassigned from all roles
  • Any active email campaigns associated with their account are canceled
What is your pricing?

For a limited time, new users who book a demo get their first role free. No strings attached.

After that, each future role is $750.

Each role includes an initial targeted search process to assess whether the first batch of candidates submitted is a suitable match. Unlimited revisions are available for 30 days.

What should I expect during the transition from IQRecruit to HootRecruit?

While you may still notice remnants of IQRecruit in some communications or within the platform for a short while, rest assured that everything will seamlessly shift to HootRecruit by the year’s end. Your data and account is safe, and you should not experience any drastic differences.

How do I delete my account and all associated data?

We're sorry to see you go!

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please email 📧 help@iqrecruit.com.

Please note that you will lose all access once your account is deactivated.

At HootRecruit, we are evolving to serve you better! As we transition from IQRecruit to HootRecruit, be assured that the exceptional service, experience, and engagement you’ve come to expect remain at the core of our operations.

Are you an applicant tracking system?

Nope! We provide candidate sourcing, but not active candidate management.

What types of roles can you help with?

We can support US-based professional-level roles (both technical and non-technical) such as software engineers, project managers, accountants, finance leaders, HR, talent acquisition and recruiting, sales, and marketing.

We can’t currently support sourcing for most frontline roles including jobs in medicine, retail, or academia.

What's a passive candidate?

A passive candidate is someone who is not actively seeking a new job opportunity. If presented with a good opportunity, they might be interested in a change and join your team!

Did you know 70% of the talent base is passive? That means companies are missing out on most candidates if they only rely on posting the job position and hoping that qualified people apply.

We think that’s silly, so we’ve flipped the script. Why wait for your next hire to find you when you can go out and find your next hire?

Passive candidates tend to be a little harder to engage because they’re not actively in job search mode. With the right messaging and opportunity though, you never know who you might convince to work with you!

How many candidates will I receive for each role?

The number of candidates varies depending on the specifications given for each role. Most roles yield 50-200 candidates depending on the qualifications, job level, requirements, and complexity of the role you submit.

Who is HootRecruit for?

HootRecruit is for recruiters, staffing and recruiting agencies, talent acquisition leaders, founders, and hiring teams — anyone who is hiring and needs help finding and connecting with top talent!

Please note, we are currently only supporting US-based roles. We hope to expand to other regions in the future.
